About

As a construction apprentice in the United States, Daniel has learned about the value of construction and tectonic aspects of architecture. More importantly Daniel understands the importance of working well with others and thrives on solving complex challenges with integrity and commitment to excellence.

Daniel has a Master’s Degree in Architecture and Community Design from the University of South Florida and currently teaches at Hillsborough Community College where he received an Associates in Arts in Architecture; he is often invited to be a jury in design classes. Daniel has 3 years of construction experience, over 10 years of experience as an architectural intern, five of them as an architectural project manager.
Daniel is originally from Bogota - Colombia. His parents, relatives and other ancestors have been involved in Architecture for a few generations.
His best memories are of site visits where his father Mario Currea, would walk the projects,  explain material processes, introduced him to the various trades and these experiences equipped Daniel with a passion for the built environment that has followed him to this day.
These memories combined with his mother's artistic aptitudes have made of Daniel a well-rounded professional with valuable experience that continues to mature with time.
Daniel is an Associate at John McKenna Architect, P.A.
